I have been cycling in Sidi's for 35 years. I tried a few other brands the last few years, but couldn't that perfect Sidi fit. Now i have my new Sidi Mountain bike shoes and happy feet
Sidi Women's Trace MTB Shoes
I made the mistake of wearing these for the first time on a long high country ride in Colorado. The material is not flexible. The tongue dug into the front of my ankle leaving bruises.
I'd heard Sidis run narrow. I'm inclined to agree. In regular shoes, ideally I wear a 5 1/2 wide. Typically I buy a 6 or 6 1/2 to accommodate, because there are so few wide shoes made. The 38.5 size Sidi fit me well. Interestingly, the comparable new Shimano mtb shoe, size 38 felt loose, sloppy and pretty hard to get on. My old Shimanos were size 38.
Some reviewers noted the tongue was stiff, somewhat uncomfortable in this otherwise great shoe. Initially I also found it stiff. But I also discovered a low-tech adjustment Sidi provides for this problem. Written instructions indicate tiny slats on tongue are supposed to be snipped to relieve stiffness. This solved the problem for me. Overall I love these - well designed, comfortable, fast and easy to get on and properly adjusted.
Thank you for making the process very fast and easy!!
